Faurecia Announces Production Facility in KC Region

by Lexi Ryan | Feb 15, 2018

Congratulations to our partners in Blue Springs on today’s announcement that Faurecia’s Interiors division will open a new approximately 250,000-sq.-ft. production facility, creating more than 300 new jobs.

Production activity will officially begin later this year, with full production ramping up by the end of 2020. Upon completion, total investment is expected to be in excess of $60 million for the project. John Stafford at Colliers International managed the real estate for this project.

Faurecia will manufacture and assemble door panels and instrument panels using latest technologies. The company currently employs more than 600 people in Missouri at its Clean Mobility facility in Dexter, and Seating facility in Wentzville.

Manufacturing is seeing a strong national uptick with increasing consumer confidence and innovation within the automotive industry. The KC region's logistics and supply chain advantages are well positioned to support this growth and companies like Faurecia.

KCADC was proud to partner with the following organizations in attracting Faurecia Interiors to the KC region:

  • City of Blue Springs
  • Jackson County
  • Missouri Partnership
  • State of Missouri
  • Metropolitan Community College
  • KCP&L
  • Spire, Inc.
  • Colliers International
  • KC SmartPort
