Dollar Tree began operation of its one million-sq.-ft. distribution facility in Warrensburg, Missouri, where, according to an April 2017 announcement, the company plans to invest $110 million, and create 375 new jobs by 2020.

Headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia, Dollar Tree is the largest and most successful single-price-point retailer in North America. Dollar Tree is currently ranked 134 on the Fortune 500 list of largest companies. Dollar Tree operates more than 14,900 stores across 48 states and five Canadian provinces, along with 23 distribution centers. This new facility will service stores across an 11-state region.

“We are pleased to celebrate the grand opening of our new Warrensburg distribution center,” said Dollar Tree’s President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Philbin. “This facility represents a key component to supporting Dollar Tree’s continued growth. We are pleased to be able to create jobs in the western Missouri region and are appreciative of the partnerships and support provided by the State of Missouri, Johnson County and the City of Warrensburg.”
